What has made Towns County such a unique and special community is its heritage, culture and history. Located on the campus of Young Harris College in the town of Young Harris is the Susan B. Harris Memorial Chapel, the oldest structure on campus.
Constructed of red brick and stately in design with tall narrow windows and crowned with a large square tower along the side of the structure. The chapel is a cherished symbol of the college and community. Built by Young L. G. Harris in 1892, the chapel stands as a memorial to his wife Susan B. Harris.
